According to the rumors from July, details about the iPhone 12’s batteries were leaked and they did not look particularly promising. It was a bit worrying considering that Apple had made some significant improvements with the iPhone 11, so it was slightly concerning that it seemed that they would be going backwards with the iPhone 12.

However, a last minute rumor from Max Weinbach is claiming that we might not necessarily have much to worry about. His tweet claims that Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to actually have a one hour increase in battery life compared to their predecessors, which is good news if true.

Also, Weinbach claims that the battery increase is only expected to be applicable to the Pro models. He notes that the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini could have a worse battery life than the iPhone 11, but that’s because of the smaller form factor which means that Apple might not be able to squeeze as big a battery as they would like, although we thought that the smaller display could actually be more energy efficient.

Either way, take it with a grain of salt but Apple is expected to officially announce the details this coming Tuesday, so check back with us for the details.
