Unfriend Checker

One of the selling points of the OnePlus 7 Pro is its 90Hz display (even though it might not always run at 90Hz). However, early into its release, quite a number of users discovered that there was an issue with the display of their device where it seems to be affected by a “ghost touch”.

This was basically where users ran into issues where the display seemed to activate even without them touching their phones. Naturally, this can be pretty annoying, but the good news is that in a post on the OnePlus forms, the company has announced that they have recently pushed out an update for the handset that is expected to do away with the problems for good.

According to the changelog, in addition to fixing the “ghost touch” problems, the update will also include optimized compatibility for third-party USB-C headphones, improved audio quality, and also fixed an issue with the popup camera for incoming video calls. As expected, the update will also come with a host of general bug fixes and improvements in addition to what was mentioned.

The update will also come with the latest Android security patch for the month of May, so that is definitely something worth checking out if you haven’t updated your handset already. The update will bump up the OxygenOS to 9.5.8, so if you are already running that version, it means you have the latest update installed.
