Wireless charging has more or less become the standard feature that we can expect from most high-end smartphones these days, but it seems that Samsung really wants its users to know that their new smartphones have the feature. So much so that they have teamed up with JCDecaux Singapore to promote the Galaxy S10.

They went about this by installing wireless chargers at bus stations placed around Singapore, as you can see in the photo above. These chargers double up as an ad but at the same time, users can place their phones against the ad where it will charge their devices. Granted it might not be the most efficient way of charging your handset, especially since wireless charging can take longer than wired charging.

According to marketing director of JCDecaux Singapore, Isaline Duminil, “JCDecaux is delighted to create Singapore’s first out-of-home wireless charging stations at bus stops in partnership with Samsung, a brand name synonymous with creativity and connectivity, and with whom we share a passion for innovation with.”

Whether or not it will help boost the sales of the Galaxy S10 remains to be seen, but in the meantime, this is an ad that is at the very least useful. If you live in Singapore and need to charge up your device, then keep an eye out for these ads at the bus stands.
