Samsung Android Rumors

Following many weeks upon weeks of leaks, yesterday Samsung finally made the Galaxy A34 and A54 official. These, however, won't be the last Ax4 devices to launch this year, as today a new leak of the Galaxy A24 reminds us.

The A24, as the name implies, will be even lower-end than the A34. A few promotional-looking images have been outed alongside a list of its specs, which we'll dive into now.

The phone is said to come with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with 90 Hz refresh rate and 19.5:9 aspect ratio, as well as a maximum brightness claimed to be 1,000 nits, though we assume that's spot brightness and not full screen. Still, pretty impressive for a lower-midrange device.

The A24 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. On the rear there's a triple camera system comprised of a 50 MP main sensor with OIS and f/1.8 aperture, a 5 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP macro cam. Selfies are taken care of by a 13 MP snapper.

The Galaxy A24 allegedly measures 162.1 x 77.6 x 8.3 mm and weighs 195g. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The 5,000 mAh battery can charge at up to 25W. It will reportedly be available in black, silver, a minty green, and a burgundy-ish red, which Samsung will undoubtedly call something more interesting.

Samsung A has been so lazy the past 2 generations. Same 6.4-6.6 screen, same notch/punch hole camera. Just different chipsets/resolution. When can we see something more interesting. Maybe a smaller package, a telephoto lens or DeX software coming to ...

Maybe Samsung thinks that instead of using its own immature chipset, it's better to use one that's definitely tested for good performance.
