This year was supposed to be the year when foldable smartphones finally hit the market in meaningful numbers. We thought Samsung would be first with the Galaxy Fold, but that got delayed following the display issues uncovered earlier this year. Meanwhile, Huawei decided to take its time with the Mate X as to avoid the same fate.
Yet now the Mate X has passed through China’s TENAA and is listed as a 5G phone with model numebr TAH-AN00. For starters, the display mentioned on the listing is an 8-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2,480×2,200 px.
